A musty smell when the aircon starts, weak airflow or misting windows usually mean a blocked cabin (pollen) filter. This filter (cross-reference AC89 / CF178) fits the C-Class W204, E-Class W212 and CLS C218. Change it every service or 15,000 km; it sits in the passenger footwell under the dash and takes minutes with no tools. New OEM-quality aftermarket part.
